It’s not always easy to find out which movies will be released in theaters each week, especially after the Hollywood strike caused major changes in release dates. October is packed with big-budget films and new indies, as the WGA and actors’ strikes are resolved and summer blockbusters arrive.
Premiering on October 4th is Todd Phillips’ Joker: Folie à Deux, in which the Joker awaits trial for his crimes, finds the love of his life, and discovers what is hidden inside him. The story follows Arthur Fleck as he discovers the music he has always known. The film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson, and Catherine Keener.
Also on Friday, “White Bird” opens in theaters. Starring Ariela Glaser, Orlando Seward, Gillian Anderson, and Helen Mirren, this wartime drama is a deeply moving, controversial story about a grandmother’s escape from Nazi-occupied France during World War II. This is the story of a boy who is in trouble.
The two films that will be released in limited release this week are “Little Bites,” a horror story about a young widow who is slowly eaten alive by a monster in order to save her daughter, and “Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaali!”, a comedy about a French journalist making a documentary. ”. Legendary surrealist artist Salvador Dali. Look out for “Saturday Night” and “Terrifier 3,” both released next week.
