The bride is coming…on national television?
That’s the question, folks.
Just a few days ago, Joanne Vasos got engaged to Chock Chapple, ending her stint as the Golden Bachelorette.
Yes, that’s his real name.
After Chock proposed in Bora Bora in the series finale on November 13, Vassos said, “It was the first time in a million years that I felt this kind of love again.”
What is the situation between the couple now?
So far, things seem to be going surprisingly well for Joan and Chock as they remain together and remain focused on their future. This is something most duos can’t say after getting engaged in any version of this series.
According to the couple, they fully intend to get married.
But it’s not Too At least not right away.
“You’re definitely not going to see a wedding on TV in three months,” Joan said in the latest issue of Us Weekly.
Of course, not too long ago Jerry Turner and Teresa Nist met on The Golden Bachelor, fell in love, quickly married in front of ABC’s cameras, and then divorced.
“I loved that ending with Jerry and Teresa,” Joan added to the aforementioned tabloid.
“The reason we aren’t getting married in three months has nothing to do with Jerry and Teresa. I just hate having to plan something else right now. When we get together for the ceremony, it may be a televised wedding, but it may not be, it won’t be within three months.
“I don’t want to plan anything else right now. We’re very happy to be together and want to take the time to get to know each other’s families and friends.”
Joan and Chock will probably move to New York City together, but their romantic momentum shows no signs of slowing down.
“There’s something special about living in the golden years of your life. You no longer have the responsibility of raising a family, you no longer have business responsibilities, and you can really enjoy life,” Vasos also told Us Weekly.
“Travel is important to us. One day we will buy a house together. After John died, I felt like my future was like this black hole. And now it looks so bright for us. The possibilities are endless.
“It’s strange to say this at this age, but that’s how I feel.”
