Trista Sutter has an explanation.
The first Bachelorette ever — one of the few members of Bachelor Nation to actually get married and remain in Bachelor Nation to this day. and The winner of her season is well aware that there are rumors about the end of her marriage.
She also seems to understand why.
Recall that about six months ago, husband Ryan caused concern on social media with a series of cryptic and alarming posts about his wife of 20 years…who appears to be missing.
What was going on with Sutter?
Did she really abandon Ryan and the couple’s children Maxwell, 17, and Blakesley, 15?
No, as it turns out, of course not.
Sutter was away filming Season 3 of the Fox reality series “Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test.” The cast for this series was revealed on November 15th, so Trista can talk about it.
And shutting down all romantic speculation in the process.
“Remember? A few months ago, I think it was spring, people were speculating that I was having a nervous breakdown, that I was dead, or that I was going to divorce Ryan. Because he posted something like, “Everyone thought it was cryptic?” the reality star said in an Instagram Stories video.
“It wasn’t mysterious. I was just out filming Special Forces.”
Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test is an American reality paramilitary training television series that premiered on January 4, 2023 on Fox, according to Wikipedia.
The show pits contestants against harsh environments around the world in an abbreviated training course designed to replicate many elements of a real-life U.S. Special Forces selection course. This is notoriously difficult and can even kill the victim. I took part in it.
Sutter went on to say about his whereabouts this weekend, “I want to give credit to the person who called me before anyone else, Ashley Iaconetti.”
After Ryan shared the aforementioned post about his spouse in May, the Bachelor alum spoke out about Ryan and Bachelor star Ben Higgins’ Almost Famous podcast, where Trista was out filming Special Forces. I had my doubts.
She added that she told him she was “perfect” for the program.
“Ashley said, ‘Have you been asked to join Special Forces yet?’ Because if you haven’t, I think you’re the next person Bachelor Nation will ask you to be on the show. ” Trista said in an Instagram Stories video.
“And that was months before they contacted me about being on the show. I had no intention of being a part of it.”
The 52-year-old continued:
“I think I probably said to Ashley, ‘Oh my God, there’s no way they would want me on that show.'” But you were right, Ashley. You are smart pants. I’m willing to bet that Ashley said we should do it today. ”
In addition to Sutten, other celebrities such as Stephen Baldwin, Brody Jenner, Denise Richards, and Christy Carlson Romano will also appear in Season 3.
“I’m going to share all kinds of things about my adventures and my journey,” Trista concluded in the video. “It was such an amazing experience and I can’t wait to see it in person and share it with you.”
