Popular actor and director Tony Goldwyn, perhaps best known for starring in the film “Ghost” and the TV series “Scandal,” will receive the Boulder International Film Festival’s Career Achievement Award in Boulder, Colorado on Friday.Hollywood – Exclusively reported by the reporter.
The night, which kicks off the 20th edition of the festival, will be a celebration of the 63-year-old actor. The historic Boulder Theater will screen Goldwyn’s new film “Ezra,” starring an all-star cast including Robert De Niro, Bobby Cannavale, Rose Byrne, Rainn Wilson and Vera Farmiga, starting at 7:30 p.m. Screening begins on. And Goldwyn himself. The film was a big hit at the Toronto International Film Festival held last September.
Shortly after, Goldwyn was awarded the festival’s highest honor. And then he and you actually sit down and have a career-reflecting conversation that will be recorded for his Awards Chatter podcast on THR.
BIFF will also honor Laura Linney during this year’s fest. Past winners of this event include Javier Bardem, F. Murray Abraham, Shirley MacLaine, Martin Sheen, Elliott Gould, William H. Macy, Alan Arkin, Alec Baldwin, Bruce Dern, Includes Lawrence Kasdan, Peter Fonda, and Robbie Robertson.
It’s a busy time for Goldwyn. He is part of the SAG Award-winning cast of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which is by far the favorite at the Oscars ceremony on March 10th. On March 14th, he will take over his long-running role as Manhattan District Attorney on NBC’s Law & Order. Written by Sam Waterston before he retired earlier this month. And Bleecker Street will release “Ezra” in select theaters on May 31st.
