---|---|---|---|
bad |
jump |
disease |
rad |
Depending on whether you are familiar with old slang, this may not be so obvious. BAD certainly doesn’t seem to mean “cool,” but strange terms with such meanings are common in every generation. ILL is in a similar position, but RAD and FLY are probably the most popular slang words meaning “cool”. Some people may be confused about which word to choose, but the other words in the puzzle don’t really belong here. BIG may be, but I don’t know that that’s a particularly 80’s word.

Blue Answer: Revealed and Explained
Although this doesn’t automatically scream “movie”; ELF is probably the biggest clue.. There are no other words in this group that fit the concepts of elf, Christmas, and fantasy, so this might get you thinking about this movie. “HER” and “SAW” are movie titles that are easy to understand when you think about movies, but “BIG” may be a little more difficult. I don’t know if there are any other one-word movie titles, but none of them really jump out at me like that. I think knowing the categories is sufficient here.

Department of Energy |

tea |
The lyrics to this song are pretty famous, and The Sound of Music is one of my favorite musicals. Although these words are not spelled the same as musical terms, they are all homophones for them. DOE and TEA seem to be the first to catch your eye, but you’ll probably have to recognize and guess what this category is before the puzzle is over. You’re much more likely to guess everything else, and you’ll want to make your best guess every time you click “send.”
