“Come hang out with me, Danny…”
Grismer takes advantage of the confusion caused by identical twins, and the hapless victims are left wondering if they are talking to Todd, who they think is the murderer, or if they are actually talking to Terry, who is the murderer. I can’t tell what you’re talking about. Mark Soper plays both roles, but his performance as Terry is truly special. The movie doesn’t explicitly say why Terry starts killing literally everyone he sees, but he seems to have a problem with sex. But aside from that, he really seems to enjoy killing, and Soper provides a sadistic, almost playful character to the role. Louise Lasser gives an earnest, if slightly melodramatic, performance as the twins’ mother, exemplified by the sonically confusing ending. While there are some awkward performances from the other actors, Soper’s performance is more than enough to keep all eyes glued to the screen.
