ARC Raiders The latest title from Embark Studios, makers of intense, action-packed FPS. final match. It was originally announced as a co-op PvE, but was later changed to a PvPvE extraction shooter. This disappointed me, but pleased many Extraction Shooter fans. Naturally, those fans and I have been anticipating the first official gameplay reveal trailer for some time to see how this new change will affect the game. Fortunately, it finally arrived.
and ARC Raiders Being one of the most anticipated sci-fi games of 2025, it’s no wonder the trailer quickly garnered a lot of views. At least 12 of them were posted by me, and I watched them endlessly to catch new details and enjoy the gorgeous visuals. But there was another reason I kept watching it over and over again. Something is wrong with the trailer, something is missing, and it makes me worry ARC Raiders will not be able to reach its full potential.
New ARC Raiders gameplay trailer has no robots
Only a handful appear in the entire trailer
arc raiders The first official gameplay trailer since switching from a co-op PvE game to an extraction shooter is quite an entertaining watch. It follows a group of players running through a sand-covered city called the Buried City, searching for medical supplies. They are harassed by other players called Raiders and a small number of flying robots called Wasps and Hornets. There’s a real sense of tension as players navigate abandoned buildings and narrow alleyways, and at least at the start of the trailer, it felt very convincing.
As I watched it, I thought of all the articles I could write and how I could express my true excitement for this movie. ARC Raidersand how switching to Extra Shooter can actually be a positive change. I’ve been looking for an engaging sci-fi game for a long time. ARC Raiders It seemed to fit the bill perfectly. but, Once the trailer ended, my positive feelings, love for the flares that popped every time the player died, and the gorgeous but slightly uninspiring visuals quickly disappeared.. It was replaced by an unshakable feeling that something was missing.
After some reflection, I found that what was missing from this Extraction Shooter about robots was the robots.. Sure, there was the aforementioned drone flying around in the air, but it didn’t seem to be much of a problem for those playing, serving as a temporary distraction from filming. The trailer ended with a quick montage of a very cool four-legged robot chasing the player. But other than that, without the famous ARC running around, problems arose.
ARC Raiders
It doesn’t have as much of a retro sci-fi feel as the original blurb would have led people to believe, it seems more focused on PvP than PvE, and the robots that made it stand out are nowhere to be seen.
What is surprising is its innovative aspect. ARC Raiders There was very little in this trailer. I had to watch it four times just to make sure I didn’t miss one of the giant robots shown off in the original release trailer. but, The more I watched the trailer, the more I felt that way. ARC Raiders was another common extractor shooter. It doesn’t have as much of a retro sci-fi feel as the original blurb would have led people to believe, it seems more focused on PvP than PvE, and the robots that made it stand out are nowhere to be seen.
The only thing that makes ARC Raider stand out is the robots
from tarkov and vitality To the person I love Hunt: Showdownthere are a lot of incredibly popular extraction shooters that already have a dedicated fan base. While the genre isn’t as popular as battle royale, it’s doing pretty well and quickly becoming a crowded market. Therefore, naturally, ARC Raiders You need to do a lot to stand out from the crowdand I assumed that the inclusion of 60’s style robots would be its biggest feature. After all, without that, there’s not much else that makes it significantly different from dozens of other extraction shooters.
it’s not
ARC Raiders
It looks bad, but the only thing that sets it apart from other substantively interesting extraction shooters is that it doesn’t seem to matter at first glance.
arc raiders The first over-the-top gameplay trailer (which was for the co-op PvE version, which was later turned into a PvP extraction shooter) shows players destroying small drone robots and towering six-legged tank-like robots. It was depicted how it would be done. everything in its path. It felt like a huge event, one where players had to utilize everything at their disposal to really fight and defeat. Of course, this was the visual that impressed players the most, myself included, and it became one of the most exciting titles to come.
I’m not really into co-op PvE games, though. ARC Raiders That premise definitely sold me. Even after switching to the extra shooter, I still felt a sense of excitement. Because of the idea of taking on giant robots. There are not many games with arc raiders It’s not about aesthetics or about fighting giant robots of this scale. ARC Raiders The first trailer proved that there was something special, but the recent gameplay trailer failed to show it again.
It’s baffling to me that Embark Studios doesn’t feature or even tease a large robot in the trailer. in contrast, Hunt: Showdown The reveal trailer showcases a terrifying boss monster as a key feature. arc raiders The first gameplay trailer doesn’t introduce the robots, so it doesn’t feel like they’re secondary.which is otherwise an inconsequential aspect of the typical extraction shooter gameplay loop. it’s not ARC Raiders It looks bad, but the only thing that sets it apart from other substantively interesting extraction shooters is that it doesn’t seem to matter at first glance.
I hope the full release of ARC Raiders will focus more on robots
they need to feel like a genuine threat
Of course, it’s safe to say this is just a trailer and I may be overreacting. in the end, ARC Raiders ‘ is scheduled for release in 2025, so Embark has plenty of time to promote it with the same slew of flashy trailers as before. final match. but, I think it’s surprising that they left out the robots who were at the forefront of their promotional materials. The first trailer aimed to show how ARC Raiders Now it will play. I have a lot of questions and feel a little dissatisfied. ARC Raiders must be provided.
It’s a complete contrast to when I first saw it. Finals” We released a trailer and were blown away by its level of destruction and fast-paced gameplay. That’s what attracted me, ARC Raiders It discouraged me from wanting to play.. I think there are many people who are looking forward to it more than ever. ARC Raidersthat’s great. It certainly looks like a tense extraction shooter, and there are some appealing aspects to its gameplay loop. No doubt there will be more trailers to complement this in the future, showcasing more environments and combat situations.

ARC Raiders characters revealed so far
ARC Raiders is a cooperative third-person shooter game where players fight against invading machines from space, and several characters have been revealed.
I believe Embark will do that, especially considering their success rate. final match At least it was at the time of release. But I hope that the robots that created such fascinating creations in the first place will play a more important role in the final product. There was definitely a hint in that gameplay reveal trailer that they’d have more to do and a big impact on exploration, so I’m still hopeful. however, ARC Raiders Even if robots’ influence wanes, it’s hard to believe they’ll still manage to stand out in an already overcrowded genre.
