After a weekend of box office success for the low-budget slasher “Terrifier 3,” horror movie “Stream,” produced by much the same creative team, is being released on video-on-demand.
“Today, Stream has a wider digital release on VOD streaming platforms, reaching all audiences,” director and co-writer Michael Levy said in a statement. “The reviews have been incredibly humbling and we’re so excited to be able to give our loyal fans the ultimate experience. After seeing ‘Terrifier 3’ in theaters, they instantly fulfilled their love of gore.” You’ll have the chance to continue and get even more from our team and Damian Leone by having the chance to watch the Stream from the comfort of your home before you go. Of course, I’ll be coming back to see “Terrifier 3” in theaters again. ”
Damian Leone, the director and series creator of “Terrifier 3,” will serve as the producer of “Stream.” This extraordinarily brutal slasher was largely crowdfunded through an Indiegogo campaign and received a limited theatrical release in August from Iconic Events Releasing.
“Stream” follows a family of four whose vacation goes awry as they, along with other hotel guests, face a sadistic cat-and-mouse game that is broadcast around the world.
In an interview in August varietyLevy spoke about Leone’s creative contributions to Stream’s gory murders, saying, “He has a twisted mind and is so fun to talk to. Damian brings his research to medieval torture and serial killers to life. I used to do that all the time with “Terrifier.”
