“Ascending” will initially launch as a pilot in the U.K. with Grace before expanding to the U.S. with Odetali in August 2023. SoundCloud announced on Monday that singer and producer There it is! September’s Spotlight Artist.
Discovered by SoundCloud’s A&R talent discovery team last year, Laila! signed to a joint venture with Sickamore’s IIIXL Studio. According to SoundCloud, Laila!’s weekly streams worldwide have skyrocketed from 1.6 million to 6 million since April 2024, and her latest single, “Not My Problem,” has garnered 44 million streams worldwide across all streaming platforms since its June 2024 release.
The “Ascending” package includes billboard placements in key locations such as New York, London and Los Angeles, curated playlists, engaging social media content, premieres on the platform and other growth marketing activities. To qualify as an Ascending artist, you must be a SoundCloud “Next Pro” subscriber, a signed artist who releases a new song during the promotional month and demonstrate engagement or stream growth on the platform.

Isaac comes to the company with five years of experience and expertise in communications, having helped develop national press strategies for numerous artists, including Rainie Wilson, Zac Brown Band, The Chainsmokers, Drake and Jason Sudeikis.
