As you may already know, Garrison Brown passed away at the young age of 25.
Garrison, the son of Sister Wives cast members Janelle Brown and Kody Brown, reportedly attempted to commit suicide by shooting himself on March 5.
The news is truly terrifying.
Janelle confirmed the news on Instagram on Tuesday, writing:
“Cody and I are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beautiful son Robert Garrison Brown. He was a shining presence in the lives of everyone who knew him.
“His loss will leave a breathtaking hole in our lives. We ask that you respect our privacy and join us in remembering him.”
Garrison has appeared on numerous episodes of Sister Wives and has been in the news quite often in recent years due to her feud with her father.
Gabe, 25, and his younger brother Gabe have been unable to speak to their father in 2021 due to extremely strict rules and regulations put in place by Kody during the COVID-19 pandemic. Stopped.
The father of a 17-year-old, concerned for their safety (or in most cases, his safety), basically forbids his children from seeing their friends or romantic partners. Own(As Kody admitted at the time), as a result, Garrison eventually bought his own home to distance himself from this parent.
As far as we know? At the time of his death?
Garrison still wasn’t close to Cody at all.
Although Kody has confessed to being a terrible father, Janelle said on the Sister Wives: Look Back special in December 2022 that Garrison had “some level” of communication with Kody.
However, he also revealed that there was “no reconciliation” between father and son at that time.
Again, it’s all very sad.
It’s truly a heartbreaking tragedy.
But many observers now can’t help but wonder if that will affect the future of this TLC series.
As of now, Sister Wives season 19 is starting.
We believe cameras will be rolling on the episode, which likely won’t air until early 2025. Yes, that’s how far into the future most reality show installments are filmed.
But is it really appropriate to air these episodes in the wake of Garrison’s death?
how Any The storyline would be acceptable, but how would management justify the coverage? Any Topic, isn’t it Garrison’s suicide?
If Sister Wives were to become a show dedicated solely to the Garrison Brown tragedy, might it be perceived as if the producers were capitalizing on the young man’s death?
There are no easy answers here. And there’s no clear answer either.
I don’t know for now.
Janelle and Kody have five children, Madison, Logan, Gabriel, Hunter, and Savannah, in addition to Garrison, whom fans first met on the show in 2010.
As previously mentioned, over the years, Kody’s relationship with his children was strained.
In a confessional interview sometime in 2022, Janelle expressed concern about her children’s lack of connection with their father.
“I was concerned about my sons’ mental health. Gabriel feels everything very deeply. But he’s also a kid who doesn’t say anything,” she said, adding that Garrison “just gets angry and… “They look like they’re sad or more sad. They don’t seem as happy as they used to,” he added.
Added Kodi to May 2023 episode.
“I haven’t had contact with Gabriel and Garrison for a while.
“I’m so sorry that I’m not around. [to them] already. Our lives have been filled with many enriching and special experiences together.
“I think and I hope that over time we can get through this and get back to each other safely. There’s not really an open door when it comes to Gabe and Garrison at this point.
“They’re not going to have anything to do with me.”
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Lt. Charles M. Hernandez II of the Flagstaff Police Department confirmed that:
“On March 5, 2024, Flagstaff Police Officers responded to a call of a fatal accident inside a residence.”
FPD confirmed that Garrison’s brother Gabriel “discovered Mr. Brown’s body” in an apparent suicide.
TLC subsequently released the following statement:
“We are shocked to hear of the tragic passing of Mr. Garrison Brown. We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Brown family at this difficult time.”
