REinvent International Sales has secured multiple deals in the American film market, including River of Blood, Together 99 and Second Victims.
Directed by Howard J. Ford, “River of Blood” is a psychological horror film about four kayakers’ epic journey down the wrong river into a jungle inhabited by ruthless cannibals.
Shot on location throughout Thailand, the film was sold to Pandastorm in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and to VR Films in India. Ford’s credits include “Never Let Go” and “The Lockdown Hauntings.”
The Swedish director’s comedy ‘Together 99’, a sequel to Lukas Moodysson’s 2000 hit film ‘Together’, has been sold to Britain’s BFI. It follows a completely different group of people. The story begins 24 years later in 1999, with the last two members of the community, Göran and Klasse. Feeling a little lonely, they start thinking about reuniting with old friends, and Classe goes out to surprise Goran on his birthday.
“Together” was a huge hit both critically and commercially. The film was shown in Venice and was nominated for the 2000 European Film Award.
“Second Victims” is a psychological drama directed by Ginini Elkington and shot on location at Helllev Hospital in Denmark. The film was sold to Vedetto in the Benelux.
Set in an understaffed stroke ward, Second Victims follows the story of Alexandra, a skilled neurologist whose unwavering self-confidence is put to the ultimate test when a routine case turns tragic. Blame and guilt ripple through the hospital, and Alexandra is forced to face the serious consequences of her own mistakes and medical malpractice. The film is produced by Johannes Rothaus Nørregaard of Meta Film. “The Second Victims” is directed by Scandinavian star duo Ozlem Saglanmak (“Bogen”) and director Susanne Bier, who won the Oscar-winning film “In a Better World” and the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award winner. The group is led by Trine Dyrholm, who starred in the film “Queen of Hearts.” ”
