Although she has been through a lot, Sun-ja understands that there will always be difficulties and asks Kyung-hee (Jung Eun Chae) in episode 8 of “Do You Really Believe We’re Out of the Woods?” I know more than that. the finale of pachinkoThe second season of shows Resilience in an incredibly inspiring way.
Mozas meets echoes of the past in ‘Pachinko’ season 2 finale
1951, Mozas (Mansaku Takada) and his friends use magnets to cheat in a pachinko parlor game. The owner, Mr. Goto, catches him and says, “I love your mother’s noodles, so I’ll forgive you for a little while.” Instead of punishing him He told Sunja that Mozas would be better off working with him. Either in the drawing room or back at school (where he shows little interest). Goto admits that Mozas is not like Noah and will probably never succeed academically. Soon-ja has a hard time agreeing to expel Mozasu, but Kyung-hee has more doubts. Soon-ja is worried that her son is working at a gambling place, but after thinking about it, she realizes that this is the best option for her second son (who needs to make his own life). I did.
Later in the episode, 15-year-old Mozas is sweeping the parlor floor and working hard when he encounters the man who stabbed Hans’ father-in-law in episode 7. He has a 7 year old boy. , Mamoru, with him. The two meetings relate to the 1989 timeline. Mozas discovers that the pachinko parlor’s loan has been paid off by Solomon. (Gina). He goes to see Solomon, who gives a big presentation about his upcoming golf club. He said only 47 of the members-only club’s 500-person capacity remain, and construction is expected to begin within 90 days. When someone in the audience asked him about the possibility of a real estate crash, Solomon faltered for a moment, especially when he saw his father in the crowd. But he has regained his composure and said he considers the crash to be an “interesting rumor.” He reassured everyone that Japan’s land prices have never fallen since World War II, that real estate has always been king, and that Japan is poised to overtake the United States and become the world’s largest economy. Let me do it.
Mozas is then seen meeting with Mamoru Yoshii (Louis Ozawa), whom he met at a pachinko parlor when he was a child. Mozasu firmly tells Yoshii not to get close to Solomon. But Yoshii retorts, “My son will make a lot of money.” I don’t know exactly what he’s saying, but Mozas says: “We both know that I could have destroyed you then. Instead, I showed you mercy. If you had harmed my son… Then there is no further mercy.” From my point of view, you know what I can do. ” This is a clear threat, but it also raises questions. If Mozas had to resort to this kind of warning, what kind of man did Solomon decide to partner with?
Will Soon-ja’s friendship end in the season 2 finale of “Pachinko”?
Sunja and Kato (Jun Kunimura) They meet at a coffee shop and Soon-ja confesses to Kato that Mozas hired an investigator to look into her. She says she knows Mozas meant well and was only trying to protect her. As she looks at him sadly, Kato says that he knows that Soon-ja thinks he is a murderer because of his involvement in the massacre of American prisoners of war (explained in episode 7) during the war. He told Sunja that he was told that the Americans were the enemy and that they had come to rape and kill Japanese women. He believed this, stating that the Japanese soldiers at the time were “barely human” due to the poor conditions they were in. He explains, “When the command came, my soul left my body and did as I was told. But it was not the final command.” Their final instructions were to forget it ever happened at all.
At first, Sunja seems to understand where Cato is coming from. She says softly, “We were all foolish to think the past could be forgotten.” However, she hands him the leather wallet she bought him in episode 6 and says, “I pray for your soul” and leaves. This is a heartbreaking ending to Sunja and Kato’s relationship.introduced her to new things and became her companion when she was very lonely. Sun-ja doesn’t seem to be actually criticizing Cato for his actions during the war, but rather says that he can’t find it in himself to continue spending time with someone who is so tied to his past.

Akiko seems to be in a more privileged environment than Noah, but the relationship between the two is sweet. Akiko brings out her weekly dinner with Hans, his benefactor (Lee Min Ho). But Noah says the only thing he asks of her is not to see Hans.
Hans also seems to have grown steadily since he ordered the assassination of his father-in-law. Hans introduces Noah to Mr. Kurogane and tells him that Noah is going into politics. Then, when they returned to college, Noah explodes at Akikohe showed anger that he had never shown before. He asks, “Do you think you can just make fun of me?” The two argue back and forth until Akiko says something Noah can’t ignore. She tells Noah that it is clear that Hans is his father. He grabbed her by the throat, pushed her against the wall, and only let go when he realized what he was doing. He runs back to Hans’ house and pleads with Hans that it’s not true. When Hans admits that he is indeed Noah’s father, Noah calls him a “dirty man.” However, Hans retorts, “The blood that flows in me also flows in you. It’s not the blood of that small fry you called your father for so many years.” Insulting the kind Isaac is the last straw for Noah. Hans seems to think it’s a good thing that he now knows that Noah is his father, saying, “You’re mine. At last we can put an end to this farce.” But Noah was lost.
He returns to his home in Osaka, meets Soon-ja outside, and tells her that he came home from school just because he wanted to see her face. Soon-ja senses that something is wrong with her mother’s instincts, but Noah insists that he is fine, saying, “For the first time, I felt like I could do anything.” He boarded the train and as soon as he walked away, Sunja began having difficulty breathing. She runs down the street crying, calling for Noah. In the next scene, Sunja is at Hans’ house and we see: It’s been a few weeks since anyone has seen Noah.. Soon-ja is heartbroken and says that their actions and secrets have destroyed Noah.
