outer banks has just released its final batch of explosive episodes with its fourth episode, marking its penultimate season on Netflix. However, unlike most Netflix releases that go without a hitch, audio issues have plagued the latest episode drop.
Numerous Reddit threads and other social media posts suggest that the show is playing normally, but there is no audio other than the Netflix TUDUM intro. It appears that only episodes 8 through 10 are affected at this time. Some people report that the audio lags completely. This problem appears to be a global issue with users in Italy, Argentina, the United States, and other countries.
One Reddit user wrote, “Episodes 8, 9, and 10 have major audio issues. There’s a second ‘da dum’ after the Netflix ‘da dum’ at the beginning of the episode, and then the actual show has no audio. There is no. ” Users say they tried traditional troubleshooting (such as turning off the TV and then turning it back on) to no avail. I mentioned that the problem only happened today and wasn’t there when I watched it yesterday.
I spoke to a Netflix support representative and was told the following: “Thank you for reporting this issue. We are currently aware of the situation and are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.”
I asked how long the fix would take, but no details were given. “Unfortunately, there is no deadline,” a support representative said, adding, “However, this issue is ongoing and will be resolved as soon as possible.”
As always, you can report any video or audio issues to Netflix using the TV app or through the Account section of the Netflix website.
More to come once I get it…
