Sad news from the television world: Paul Thiel has passed away at the age of 35.
Thiel had a recurring role on the popular teen drama. One Tree Hillwhich aired on The WB and The CW from 2003 to 2012.
The news of his death was shared with us through the kind permission of his fiancee, Emilia Torero.

“The most thoughtful, inspiring, driven, disciplined and loving man has passed away,” Torero wrote on Instagram.
“Paul, you were my soulmate, my soon-to-be husband, my rock, my future. You filled my lungs with laughter, my stomach with butterflies, and my heart. Filled with love. You were captured too soon in a battle that was sure to be fought bravely,” she continued.
“A part of me died with you, but I promise you that I will fight to find joy in life, just as you fought hard every day.
“The world is lucky to have had the pleasure of spending some time with Paul Thiel, and I am the luckiest man in it, because I got to call you mine. I will love you forever.”
What was Paul Thiel’s cause of death?
Thiel’s cause of death is unknown.
But judging by the wording of Torello’s announcement, it sounds like he was battling some kind of long-term illness, perhaps cancer.
After playing a role in a recent project, deep water and george and tammyPaul moved away from the spotlight, and as a result, little is known about his later years.
But some of his One Tree Hill Co-stars were quick to pay their respects.

On Instagram, two of Thiel’s most famous OTH colleagues shared their grief.
“Incredibly sad to hear of Paul Teale’s passing. We just started watching his OTH episode on Drama Queens [podcast] And he is a very talented person,” Sophia Bush wrote.

“My heart is heavy. Paul Thiel was the kind of man who could light up a room without trying. His bright smile, contagious laugh, and kind heart made you want to be near him.” ” Bethany Joy Lentz said in her eulogy.
“He was shy and funny and so comfortable on stage. Oh. Like his second skin. I couldn’t take my eyes off him. Then I decided to direct the next episode. It was almost dizzying. One Tree Hill So I was able to cast a new recurring character, Josh, a sleazy movie star,” she continued.
“Paul’s understated sense of humor and willingness to fully immerse himself in any character made him a perfect fit for the role. He was fun to work with in any setting and was very generous.”
“We kept in touch intermittently. I wish we had more. When I meant to call and got distracted, I just kept calling. Life is short. This week. I’ve always thought that. Life is short.”
