Colorado has been used as the setting for many movies and television shows over the years. From beloved classics such as idiot and idiot and true grit on light reality series like Real World and bounty hunter dogcamera crews frequently film scenes at the Centennial State.
The newest television show set in Colorado is a reality series called. Rocky Mountain Wreckers. Filming is currently taking place in the small town of Silverthorne, where the crew will be seen working alongside tow truck drivers. According to 9News Denver, the series is scheduled to air nine months after him and will include 10 of his 60-minute episodes.
The drivers are employed by Mountain Recovery Towing, one of Colorado’s largest towing companies. Viewers not only get to see them working hard, but also get to know the people behind the wheels that keep the business running.
Mountain Recovery’s service area includes Interstate 70 and many of the mountain roads in the Rocky Mountains. Considering this dangerous region has more accidents per mile of interstate than any other interstate in North America, expect plenty of action in the upcoming series.
Not only can Colorado’s roads be dangerous at times, but severe weather conditions can pose significant challenges for people traveling within the state. Mountain Recovery tow truck drivers often help people who have been involved in an accident or whose vehicle has gone off the road.
In addition to Mountain Recovery in Colorado, towing companies in Wyoming and Utah will also be featured on the show. The show will air on the Weather Channel and Discovery Canada in the fall.
Colorado offers incentives to encourage the film and television industry to film projects in the state.
