Looking at theories on Reddit, some think Alex and Kylie might end up together next season. Perhaps Alex will learn why Jackie finally left and eliminated Cole, and Cole may choose to isolate himself. Another commented that they think season 2 will be similar to the following plot. Ali Novak’s website in late 2023 teased that something new would be coming for fans of the first book. In her FAQ, Novak asked if there were any plans for a sequel to the book, saying:

In June 2024, a sequel to the book (titled My Return to Walter Boys) is actually in production and revealed to Today.com the news that the sequel will hit bookshelves on April 15, 2025. When asked if this would affect the storyline of the show’s second season, Novak replied:
“There’s a lot of content that was left out in the first book, so maybe in season two we’ll see content that mirrors the first book.
But none of the content I’m currently writing will appear in the second season. They just went in a different direction. All the characters we love are the same.
If this show continues to be successful, maybe they’ll look at the sequel I wrote and adapt some of that content, but for now, they’re two separate entities. ”

My Life with the Walters Boys Season 2 will begin pre-production in late May 2024, and was originally scheduled to begin production in early June 2024. However, it was ultimately postponed.
