The video opens with a comedic meta moment where Timon (Billy Eichner) and Puma (Seth Rogen) get excited about the new trailer and an older Rafiki (John Kani) shares Mufasa’s origin story. As the flashback begins, a young Mufasa is seen traveling with a hawk (Kelvin Harrison Jr.), later known as Scar. Along the way, he meets various important characters, including Simba’s future mother Sarabi (Tiffany Boone), young Rafiki (Kagiso Lediga), and Mufasa’s future right-hand man Zazu (Preston Nyman). .
