Netflix continues to receive high ratings for its content surrounding Lyle and Erik Menendez.
True-crime documentary “The Menendez Brothers” was the streamer’s most-watched title for the week of October 6-12. It premiered on October 7th and reached 22.7 million views in the first six days of its release.
The film benefited from the recent uptick in attention to the brothers due to the development of real events and the series Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez, written by Ryan Murphy. The series, which premiered on September 19th, continues to be popular, entering its fourth week in the Netflix Top 10 and ranking third with 8.7 million views.
The only two TV titles that surpassed “Monsters” were Season 4 of “Outer Banks,” which debuted at No. 1 with 15.5 million views in its first three days, and “Nobody Wants This.” ” returned to second place with 9.6 million views. Views after debuting there and staying at the top spot for a week.
“Outer Banks” will definitely remain in Netflix’s top 10 for a long time. Adding to the already established popularity, only the first five episodes of season 4 will premiere on October 10th, with the remaining five episodes premiering on November 7th.
“Nobody Wants This” is one of three romance-related titles on this week’s TV charts, with “Love Is Blind” season 7 at No. 4 with 4.9 million views and “Heartstopper” Season 3 came in 4th place with 2.6 million views. Netflix has had great success in this genre this year. Last week, for example, “Emily in Paris” Season 4 spent eight weeks in the top 10, and “Bridgerton” became the streamer’s sixth most-watched English version. This summer’s best language title ever.
“The Amazing Digital Circus” came in fifth with 3.6 million views, followed by Ali Wong’s stand-up special “Single Lady” with 2.7 million. The bottom three following “Heartstopper” are “The Perfect Couple,” which has been played 2.5 million times in its sixth week on the chart, and “Unsolved Mysteries,” Volume 5, which has been played 1.9 million times, and is currently being played. “Prison Break” season 1 has been increasing in number. It has received renewed interest since its recent addition to Netflix.
