On February 22nd, Tori Roloff and Zach Roloff announced their future as cast members of Little People, Big World.
and now?
Does the latest season of this TLC series continue to air new episodes?
Fans can’t help but wonder about the future of the show itself.
“It’s over. That part, that chapter of our lives is over,” Tori Roloff said on a recent episode of her and her husband’s podcast, confirming her departure from Little People, Big World. .
Zack then acted as if his contract had expired and neither the couple nor network executives were interested in renewing it.
“We made that pretty clear,” Zack added on this same podcast. “They don’t technically want us to respond.”
It’s been an open secret for nearly two years that Zach and Tori don’t get along with Zach’s father, Matt Roloff.
On the latest episode of Little People, Big World, Matt expressed his disappointment that his son and daughter-in-law didn’t attend a local charity event.
The conflict dates back to May 2022, when Matt put his 14-acre farm in Oregon up for sale and Zach, a father of three, decided to give his father a fair chance to buy the land. This infuriated Zach because he felt as if he hadn’t done it for him.
After Matt objected to this version of events, Zach continued to denounce him as a coward and manipulator.
Since then, the relationship has not been the same.
“This last cycle has been tough between the family and the farm contract, but we’re done with it,” Zach mentioned his issues with his father on the aforementioned podcast, and as Tori highlighted, emphasized that things were over difficult recently.
It makes perfect sense to us.
But where does this leave one of the longest-running reality shows in television history?
Zach and Tori are gone now. Jacob Roloff left the band in 2016, and Jeremy Roloff left the band himself in 2018.
Molly, the fourth child of Matt Roloff and Amy Roloff, didn’t want to be part of the cast, so she lives in Washington, far from the spotlight.
Could TLC pick up Little People, Big World for another season?
Can we just focus on Amy and Matt’s relationship? Or Matt and Caryn Chandler’s engagement?
It’s possible. This series remains cost effective for TLC. It costs almost no money to produce.
I can’t imagine the adults here taking much interest. Most fans are most interested in Matt and Amy’s children (so far), but none of them are involved with the show anymore.
Little People, Big World debuted in 2006, and it’s hard to believe it’s still on the air.
The series follows the Roloff family as they grapple with the complexities of dwarfism and everyday life issues such as marriage, divorce, and adulthood while living on a farm in Oregon.
Tori and Zach wrote in the episode description section of their podcast in late February:
Little People, Big World has been a big part of our lives, but it’s time to leave.
This show has brought us so many great opportunities, great memories, and so much fun.
But at the same time, it also challenged us to set better boundaries between filming and our children, deal with not-so-accurate depictions of our lives, and face family issues.
It was a great run, but needed an adult in the room. And we took action.
