Lindsay Lohan learns in her latest film that getting what you want isn’t always the best thing.
The 37-year-old new mom, who works and spends time with her family in the Atlanta area, is starring in the romantic comedy “Irish Wish.”
The trailer for the Netflix movie was released on Tuesday.
In the trailer, Maddie Kelly, played by Lindsay, heads to Ireland for the wedding of a “friend” she is secretly in love with.
“I can’t help but wonder if things would have been different if I had told Paul how I felt,” she tells her mother Rosemary, played by Jane Seymour, 73.
“You have to start speaking up for yourself,” her feisty mother advises.
“It’s too late,” Maddie answered. But is it?
Sitting quietly in a picturesque garden, a lovelorn woman confesses her heart’s desires. “I wish I had married Paul Kennedy,” she whispers.
When she woke up the next morning, everything had changed and to her surprise, she was now a bride.
While preparing for the wedding, Maddie works with photographer James Thomas, played by Ed Speleers.
The photographer is a little shocked when Paul, played by Alexander Vlahos, wants to use the wedding as “a good wedding but also a PR event” to increase sales.
As Maddie begins to learn more about her relationship with Paul, including the fact that she “got down on one knee and proposed” to Paul, Maddie, who works as Paul’s head of marketing, finds herself in a dangerous situation while walking down the aisle with her boss. I realized that it would happen. She is not her best for her.
While exploring the countryside in search of a backdrop for a proposed photo shoot, Maddie finds herself spending more time with the photographer than with her fiancé.
At the same time, she notices a spark between Paul and the woman he was supposed to marry in the original timeline.
The film was shot in several locations across Ireland in September and October 2022.
The project also gave the actress a chance to show how skilled she is at physical comedy as her character finds herself in multiple sticky situations.
Lindsay’s fans were excited to see the Falling for Christmas star shine in another romantic comedy.
“Lindsay has easily preserved my favorite lovey-dovey genre of films with always predictable endings, and I’m here for it, so please make more.”Please and thank you. , one ecstatic follower wrote.
“Lindsay is beautiful!” This looks like real fun! I can’t wait to see it! So happy to have another Lindsay movie! ♥️,” chimed in another.
Irish Wishes will begin streaming on Netflix starting March 15th.
