“Kung Fu Panda 4” took the top spot at the South Korean box office, becoming the film that finally dethroned local champion “Exhuma,” which had dominated for seven consecutive weeks.
But it was more of a modest victory than a victory, with the trade show industry’s $5.6 million in U.S. sales among the lowest-scoring weekends this year.

(On the local charts, which are ranked by attendance, it ranks 9th due to low ticket sales.) It grossed $430,000 in its first five days of release.
“Godzilla x Kong: New Empire” was delayed by one. In its third weekend, it grossed $116,000 for a disappointing total of $3.57 million.
