The latest episode of Sister Wives featured a monumental event that no one thought would ever happen again.
Kody Brown is in the same room as all of his wives and ex-wives.
The idea of them all getting together seemed completely impossible, to say the least, given their adversarial relationships with Christine, Meri, and Janelle.
Still, here are all the details about the surprising reunion and its aftermath.
Kody confronts all three ex-wives at friend’s wedding
Season 19 of Sister Wives remains by far the most popular show in terms of captivating viewers to this day.
All of the footage shot for this season was from late 2022, long before the biggest turning point for the Brown family, including Garrison’s death.
We know that his parents, Kody, Janelle, Christine, Meri, and Robyn, all attended his funeral and memorial service. But it turns out the Browns had actually come together before that, thankfully under different circumstances.
The third episode of season 19 begins with Kody and his pals discussing a mutual friend’s wedding. Everyone is invited and everyone is nervous.
This is the first time all five adults have been together since Isbael’s graduation party half a day ago. Many children are also invited.
“I wish it hadn’t turned out like this,” Janelle admitted in a confessional ahead of the ceremony. Kody originally planned to skip the wedding because he wanted to avoid any more “trash talk” from Christine and Janelle. Eventually, he sucks it up and goes.
Christine shares her plan to attack from the beginning. “Let’s just ignore each other and pretend we don’t exist.”
Janelle called the night “weird.” She admitted that she had a brief interaction with Meri, and that at one point Kody cornered her to say “hello.” However, the situation never escalated further.
Kody claims his family is fighting a “civil war,” and Janelle explains that it’s “obviously over.”
Christine and Robin face off at the birth of Mykelti
This season, the focus seems to be on children. Perhaps it’s the producers who know that the current hot topic among fans is Kody’s relationship with his older children.
Much of the episode is spent with mothers lamenting that their children don’t have a good relationship with Kody. Well, except for Robin. Her children are young and still live with him, but still command his attention.
Kody actually goes so far as to say that he’s happy to receive “loyalty” from Robin’s children, but not from his older children. But let’s be honest: whose fault is that? As Christine and Meri explain, when Robin arrived, there was a feeling among the other children and families that they were no longer special and that they were no longer welcome in Robin’s home. is.
“From the beginning, they knew their father wasn’t going to be there all the time,” Janelle explains.
But Kody is confident that whatever issues remain between him and his children, they can be easily resolved.
What I think is that over time, with just a phone call every once in a while, those relationships will come back and then you can have full communion with your children again,” Kody said. I say. The problem is, he’s not the one making the call. He expects his children to do that.
Robin even reached out to his other wife’s children to help rebuild the bridge. But she has so far failed.
Except for Mykelti. Robin and Mykelti have remained very close over the years. So when the time came for Mykelti to have a child, she wanted to take her mother and Robin there.
To Christine’s credit, she makes no effort to fight this. In a photo shared that day, she is seen smiling alongside Robyn.
But then, in a confessional, she claimed that a broken family cannot be repaired. Meanwhile, Robin started crying.
“I was able to forget everything for a moment,” she says of the happy day.
