kendall jenner‘s 818 tequila brand caused a storm at Coachella — because a local bar owner claims her team ruined their beloved mural… even though they’re hearing it’s BS. There is a possibility of damage even though I saw it written in the contract that they affirmatively agreed to and acknowledged it.
Kendall and the others met here at a watering hole called Club 5 Bar in Indio, California. Last week we set up shop at that property for a pop-up attraction to plug in 818…lots of custom decorations and embellishments…including a giant decal-like sign on the outside.

It looks like the 818 brand is painted all over the wall, but that’s not really the case. It’s actually a separate piece that I pasted onto the wall. So the owners are furious now. You see, there’s an AC/DC mural underneath that they recently installed, which he claims is now damaged as a result of the 818 team setting this whole thing up and leaving it alone.
randy franco One of Club 5’s owners issued a blistering press release on Monday, claiming that Kendall’s company had recklessly slammed the 818 vinyl piece onto the mural, leaving scratches and chips in the aftermath and no attempt to restore it. I blamed it for not being there.
He told TMZ that he and his partner allowed 818 to use the wall and sign up 818, but asked them to put a protective layer underneath so their trash wouldn’t touch the wall or mural. He claims…they failed to do that. Instead, Randy claims that the 818 team essentially slapped this sign onto the mural with adhesive…and when they peeled it off…much of the paint came off the OG mural underneath.

As for what he specifically plans to do about it…unknown. Randy says he hasn’t even contacted 818 directly about this yet…he says he’s only spoken to the event coordinator (who appears to be a third party), who has expressed dissatisfaction with the response. To tell.
But here’s the problem… From people with direct knowledge of the contracts signed and the emails exchanged about this, the Franco family did in fact confirm the state of the location as the 818 team was packing up. I heard that there were no problems. About last weekend.
I have confirmed the email sent from carmen franco –Randy’s mother and the other co-owner of Club 5–this seems to indicate that she made it clear to him that he was fine on his way home.
The email states that she toured the property and specifically noted the mural, which Carmen said looked great to her. So, our source tells us, all of the son’s whining and moaning at the moment means little.
It seems to me that whatever issues they have, they need to be taken up another time…in another way, perhaps even in court. We reached out to Kendall’s camp but have not heard back.
