Duchess Kate is expected to return to royal duties soon.
On November 25, Buckingham Palace announced that the 42-year-old will accompany her husband, Prince William, to an upcoming meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. and his wife, His Highness Sheikh Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suheim Al Thani.
The couple has booked an official state visit to the UK on December 3rd.
The occasion marks Middleton’s most significant appearance this year since she was diagnosed with cancer and underwent chemotherapy over the past few months.
To be clear, the Princess of Wales will not be attending the glamorous state dinners for visiting dignitaries at Buckingham Palace.
She is not ready to accept such an appearance.
However, after announcing on September 9 that she had completed chemotherapy, Middleton has quietly and cautiously returned to royal duties.
The mother-of-three attended the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on November 9, and the following day she attended the memorial service from the balcony above the Cenotaph. I watched it.
As most people in the free world now know, Ms. Middleton underwent major abdominal surgery in January, which led to many questions about her health for a long period of time.
About two months later, Kate revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer, although the type of cancer has not yet been revealed.
“I’m in the early stages of treatment right now,” Kate said in a March 22 social media video.
“It took me a while to recover from major surgery and start treatment, but most importantly, it took me a while to explain everything. [the kids] I reassure them that I’m okay, in a way that’s appropriate for them. ”
Fast forward to June and we have the next update from Princess.
“I’m making good progress, but as anyone undergoing chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days. On the bad days, I feel weak and tired. , you need to rest your body.”
Ms Middleton added at the time that she was looking forward to taking part in the King’s Birthday Parade and hoped to “participate in some public events over the summer”, adding: “I’m not out of the woods yet. “I have not done so,” he warned.
Prince William has made a similar point.
However, as she said in September, we’re here to give Kate the last word.
The past nine months have been incredibly difficult for our family. Chemotherapy has finished, but the road to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to work hard every day. However, I am looking forward to getting back to work and taking on some more public engagements over the next few months if possible.
