Janelle Brown can’t think about her son.
For very understandable and incredibly sad reasons, of course.
Earlier this week, the Sister Wives star shared a photo of Garrison Brown, 25, about seven months after she took her own life.
“My phone provides memories every day,” Brown wrote on Instagram, along with one of her family’s snapshots. “Often photos with Garrison. On a good day (and today is a good day!), they [me] Smile because you remember the event and what a fun day it was. ”
Added comments from grieving parents.
“It always leaves a bittersweet glow, but it’s still nice to see these time capsules.”
As you can see below, the main photo in question is an old image of Garrison, her son Gabriel, and her daughter Savannah.
As you may already know, Garrison is the person who discovered his brother’s body in March. It’s just terrible.
The night before, Janelle had asked him to check on Garrison after he had sent her a disturbing email in which he even mentioned suicide.
Still, “I had no idea he was there,” Janelle recently told People magazine, adding that “substance abuse” likely affected Garrison’s mental state before he died. Ta.
It was also confirmed that Garrison was under the influence of alcohol at the time he shot himself in the head.
The Sister Wives cast member went on to explain that she and her family had “real conversations” about her son’s struggles and provided him with “resources” to overcome his addiction.
“We talked to him all the time and we loved him. Everything was there,” she told the aforementioned media outlet.
“That’s something he really couldn’t do…like the devil he couldn’t get to the top of the fight. He couldn’t seem to recover. And it wasn’t for lack of love or lack of anything. It was.”
We believe this to be true.
Sadly, however, one of Garrison’s roommates told police this spring that he had been talking to Garrison about feeling depressed lately.
Shortly after Garrison’s suicide, Janelle and Kody Brown released a joint statement on their respective Instagram pages about the terrible news.
“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beautiful son Robert Garrison Brown,” Janelle said in the post.
“He was a shining figure in the lives of everyone who knew him, and his loss will leave a breathtaking hole in our lives.
“We ask that you respect our privacy and join us in remembering him.”
