We have received an update on the death of Garrison Brown.
And unfortunately, it’s heartbreaking.
As previously reported, Brown committed suicide this week at the age of 25… Local authorities in Flagstaff, Arizona confirmed Wednesday that the Sister Wives star took her own life on March 5th.
Following the surprising development, parents Janelle and Kody Brown wrote on Instagram:
“Cody and I are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beautiful son Robert Garrison Brown. He was a shining presence in the lives of everyone who knew him.
“His loss will leave a breathtaking hole in our lives. We ask that you respect our privacy and join us in remembering him.”
Meri Brown later expressed the same opinion.
Meanwhile, TMZ obtained a copy of the police report detailing Garrison’s suicide and shared one disturbing detail with the public.
According to the documents, the day before he shot himself, Brown texted a friend:
“I want to hate you for the good times we shared. But I can’t. I miss these days.”
Janelle was reportedly not the recipient of this text…but she quickly found out about it, causing major concern for the TLC personality.
Shortly thereafter, Janelle contacted her son, and the two did Short chat. We cannot confirm exactly what they discussed.
But this story only created more anxiety for Janelle.
So she asked her son Gabriel to go check on his brother, TMZ reports.
But by the time Gabriel arrived in Flagstaff, it was too late. Police said Gabe discovered his brother’s body.
Elsewhere in this same article, TMZ writes that Garrison’s roommate was interviewed and claimed to have heard a “pop” sound Monday night, but didn’t think it was a gunshot. ing. That’s why the deceased reality star wasn’t found until the 25th. the next day.
Roommates also revealed that Garrison had been dealing with substance abuse, with one claiming that Garrison was “drinking every night.”
This same roommate (named Addison) said that she and Garrison had recently been talking about depression.
The report further stated that Addison “stated that he knew that.” [Garrison] He was having problems with his ex-girlfriend and he wasn’t a very happy person. ”
We don’t want to speculate about something so personal and serious.
But it’s well-documented on Sister Wives that Garrison clashed with her father, Cody, over strict coronavirus restrictions that severely limited how often their children could see friends and significant others.
In a confessional interview sometime in 2022, Janelle expressed concern that her sons were losing connection with their father as a result of these family rules.
“I was concerned about my sons’ mental health. Gabriel feels everything very deeply. But he’s also a child who doesn’t say anything,” Janelle said at the time.
She later added that Garrison “just looks angry or more sad. Like, he’s not having as much fun as he used to.”
Sadly, these words now seem more prescient and eerie than ever.
