He grabbed Jim by the throat and shoved him against the Matthews’ trailer, devilishly telling him, “Your wife shouldn’t have dug that hole.” This refers to the final episode of season 1, “Oh, the Places We’re Going.” In that episode, Tabitha discovers traces in an underground cavern, setting her on a course to challenge the supreme authority of the Man in Yellow. Because of this and the knowledge they have now revealed, Jim had to die to prevent Tabitha from getting closer to the truth. The man in yellow slits his throat, blood flows to the ground, and he falls to his death.. This is the most important character death in the first three seasons of From, and will test Tabitha and Julie’s resolve heading into season four.
