The Korean crime comedy thriller “I, Executioner,” a sequel to the 2015 hit “Veteran,” continued to dominate the Korean weekend box office. It earned $1.68 million in its fourth weekend session, surpassing top-ranked new release Joker: Folie a Deux.
According to data from Kobis, a tracking service run by the Korean Film Council (Kofic), I Am the Executioner’s market share has fallen to 29%. The film’s overall box office gross for the weekend was a disappointing $5.54 million. Although it was a close second, it was the second slowest weekend of the year.
