For Ethan Plath, who appeared on the latest episode of the TLC reality show, it was more like, “Welcome to the next step in your life!”
In fact, folks, the star met a girl named Lily during the series’ broadcast on September 24th.
“I guess we just have a little bit of chemistry,” the 26-year-old says to the camera after going out line dancing at the start of the episode.
“I guess I feel it a little bit, but I don’t know if that’s just my interpretation or if it’s real.”
It must actually exist to some degree…considering Lily even sat for confession once.
She admits she felt a connection with the Plaths after singing a number of songs alongside them at the bar.
“At first, they just seemed like two nice people, [it] “I feel like there’s a little bit of infidelity there,” Lily told viewers.
Ethan and his ex-wife Olivia finalized their divorce in February.
“Ethan and I have decided to go our separate ways,” Olivia said in a rather tart statement on October 27.
“I have complicated memories of being 18 and innocently dreaming of forever. But your choice of partner is a reflection of the world you want to live in, and at 18 I had no idea who I was or what kind of life I wanted to live.
“Seven years later, I have already begun the journey of questioning, deconstructing and rebuilding, and I know it’s a process I will continue to prioritize throughout my life.”
She later even claimed that she was being groomed to marry Ethan.
While we can’t comment on the allegations, we can say that Ethan appears to have finally moved on from his ex-spouse.
“I really wasn’t expecting to see such a beautiful person here tonight but I guess I’ll take a chance,” Ethan told cameras on Tuesday night, revealing that he asked Lily for her phone number and she gave it to him.
“The dance was a huge success and I can’t imagine it could have gone any better than tonight,” he added.
Meanwhile, Olivia has made it clear that she is far superior to Ethan.
In a season 6 episode, she revealed that a man invited her to come over to his house to meet his cat, after which she spent the night with him.
Do more than just pet the cat.
Following the getaway, Olivia began dating her current boyfriend, Brendan, who viewers met on the September 17th episode.
“Now we’re together, planning our future, planting flowers, and you’re the one I want to do it with,” Olivia told Brendan, who called her “the person I want to be with for the rest of my life.”
