Colter Shaw thrives where there are mysteries that need solving. Whether it’s a missing person case or a family secret, trackerColter is kept busy searching for answers. When Season 2 returns, he deals with more missing person cases and dives deeper into some of the family secrets his mother wanted him to keep behind. A sneak peek at the Season 2 premiere shows Colter doing the same thing, confronting a man and making a pretty shocking confession. According to the episode’s logline below, Colter deals with the mystery on two fronts as he stumbles upon what his mother has been hiding and searches for his missing family.
“While investigating the strange disappearance of a missing family whose car was found abandoned on the side of the road in the backwoods of Arkansas, Colter makes a shocking discovery about his mother’s past that leads him to the path of organized crime. Reenie also starts a new law firm at the beginning and asks for Velma’s help in setting up shop.
What happened to Gina Pickens?
As the video begins, the man looks around nervously, before a voice echoes from a dark corner. “I let myself in,” Colter says from his corner. He leans forward, the light filtering through the blinds illuminating him. “Hello, Frank!” he said, as if he were about to make Frank an offer he couldn’t refuse. They seem used to it because Frank doesn’t panic and picks up his beer. The next exchange reveals that they actually know each other and are playing cat and mouse, but breaking into Frank’s house was an escalation on Colter’s part.
Colter questions Frank, whose patience seems to be running thin. “I have more questions, or you can leave the house,” Frank tells him. Colter reveals the real reason for his visit. “Until I told the story of Gina Pickens…10 years ago today, she disappeared from the Welltown Mall parking lot after finishing her shift at Hot Topic,” he says. “I have nothing to say to you or her damn sister. And whatever happens to her is none of my business,” Frank says. Subsequent passages reveal that although Salter has been trying to solve the Gina Pickens mystery for ten years by observing Frank’s behavior, she has never succeeded in misleading him.
