Christine Brown has released her first statement since the shocking death of a relative.
As previously reported, Garrison Brown committed suicide at the age of 25 earlier this week.
The Sister Wives star was found by her own brother after she shot herself in the head on March 25, according to police in Flagstaff, Arizona.
It’s just scary.
On Thursday, Christine shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, remembering Janelle and Kody Brown’s late son as a loving person and wonderful brother to their daughter Truly.
“Garrison was a wonderful and caring brother who understood Truly’s need for a hobby and built her a flower bed,” Christine wrote, along with a clip of the process of building the flower bed.
“We will miss him forever.”
The mother-of-six added the hashtags: “#Thank You #I Miss You #I Love You #Tell them I love you.”
Two days ago, Janelle acknowledged her son’s sudden death, writing in a message also shared by her former spiritual spouse:
“Cody and I are very saddened to announce the passing of our beautiful son Robert Garrison Brown.
“He was a shining figure in the lives of everyone who knew him. His loss will leave a breathtakingly large hole in our lives.
“We ask that you respect our privacy and join us in remembering him.”
From what we hear, despite this tragedy, Sister Wives season 19 will continue to air on TLC.
Sources say Garrison’s death will be a major storyline in an episode that will air in late 2024 or early 2025.
Meanwhile, Lt. Charles M. Hernandez II of the Flagstaff Police Department issued the following statement following Garrison’s death:
“On March 5, 2024, Flagstaff Police Officers responded to a call of a fatal accident inside a residence.”
Police also said Garrison’s brother Gabriel, 22, “discovered Brown’s body” in an apparent suicide.
In a report released by authorities, Garrison’s roommates said he had recently struggled with alcohol and depression.
It was also learned that he sent disturbing text messages in the group chat, causing his mother Janelle to worry.
“I want to hate you for the good times we shared. But I can’t. I miss these days,” read this text.
Considering these words and the emotion behind them, Janelle asked one of her children to go check on Garrison…Gabriel volunteered to do so…and came across her brother’s dead body. Did.
TLC viewers were introduced to Sister Wives, which chronicled the lives of the Garrison family. Savannah, 19 years old. Logan, 29 years old. Hunter and Gabe, 27, are all Janelle and Kody’s children.
(Kody also shares 12 more children with his former and current sister wives.)
Before Garrison’s death, Garrison and Gabe had a strained relationship with their father, Cody, due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, and Kody’s family lost friends during the pandemic. It was forbidden for him to meet with his girlfriend.
In a confessional interview sometime in 2022, Janelle expressed serious concerns that her sons were losing connection with their father because of these family rules and regulations.
“I was concerned about my sons’ mental health. Gabriel feels everything very deeply. But he’s also a child who doesn’t say anything,” Janelle said at the time.
She later added that Garrison “just looks angry or more sad. Like, he’s not having as much fun as he used to.”
TLC shared the following in its own statement a few days ago:
“We are shocked to hear of the tragic passing of Garrison Brown.
“We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Brown family during this difficult time.”
