Look out for Bethenny Frankel.
She also wants to make her feelings known on the series that helped make her famous — and, in this former reality star’s opinion, how down it is.
Last Saturday, Frankel mentioned in a now-deleted TikTok video the new cast Bravo brought in to make up “The Real Housewives of New York City” this year.
Citing a reaction video shared on TikTok, Frankel said the reboot was “unbearable to watch,” adding, “Justice for Sonya.” [Morgan]Dorinda [Medley]Luan [de Lesseps]Ramona [Singer]”
This would be a list of veteran stars who pink slipped in exchange for Jenna Lyons, Jessel Turnk, Bryn Whitfield, Cy de Silva, Erin Ritchie, and Uva Hassan.
“They were in a ride-or-die situation. The show was being shoehorned into their backs, and then all of a sudden they’re all being replaced,” Bethenny continued, adding that the show, which left the show in 2022 after 13 seasons, I mentioned the cast.
“Everyone was sitting on a shelf like Toy Story and hoping someone would play with them.”
Bethenny also claimed that “more money was spent on new cast members,” but she believes that money was not spent properly.
“[The original cast] He was always like a stepchild. They have always been thrown away. I know what they were paid, I know the demotion, I know the budget, I know the premiere budget,” Bethenny said in the video.
The Skinnygirl founder tried to clarify that she is not taking personal photos, explaining:
“The new girls, I’m sure they’re nice. I’ve never seen the show. In fact, I’m sure they’re nice. But as these women get older, they just get dropped by the wayside. It was.”
Earlier this year, McSweeney sued Andy Cohen and Bravo, alleging that the network preyed on her alcoholism and that Andy maintained a toxic work environment with her favorite housewives.
It’s been an ugly few months for this series in many ways.
“200,000 people watched this garbage. So call up the old girls, dust yourself off and mix it up. The humble pie is coming hot,” Frankel said over the weekend.
Bethenny helped launch this version of The Real Housewives in 2008 and appeared in seasons one through three. She then rejoined the show at the beginning of season 7, but left again after season 11.
In March 2022, Bravo announced that it would reboot the series with a new cast after 13 seasons.
The Real Housewives of New York City Season 15 is currently airing Tuesday nights at 9/8c on Bravo.
