Euphoria alum Barbie Ferreira sports a dramatic new look in her latest photo.
She played Cat Hernandez in the first two seasons of the HBO drama. Perhaps the reported “time skip” between seasons 2 and 3 would explain her absence.
During a strange and long hiatus starting in 2022, Barbie updated her body. She shows off the results on Instagram and at red carpet events.

She has always been a very beautiful actress, but now she boasts a more toned figure than before.
But when Twitter users posted side-by-side photos showing Barbie’s transformation, the responses changed completely.

Reply accusing Barbie Ferreira of using Ozempic
Obviously, this is Twitter in late 2024. Twitter covets being called “X,” and unsurprisingly, many of the replies were checkmarked accounts that simply copied the actual reply or restated the original tweet. What an absolute cadaver of the platform.
However, many of the more pragmatic replies accused Barbie Ferreira of using the diabetes drug Ozempic, which has become a luxurious weight loss tool for the wealthy, to lose weight.
In recent years, the use of Ozempic has become common among some celebrities. Despite being highly controversial, even hospitalized TV personalities continue to praise the injection. (that It may have more to do with how our society treats women’s bodies than anything else)
Other replies simply expressed fear of Ozempic’s flood of accusations that were sure to come.
It’s a shame when celebrities lose weight. without it Users of lifesaving diabetes drugs continue to face such allegations.
In any case, Barbie Ferreira has not revealed her weight loss strategy. We naturally hope that the weight loss trend avoids causing documented shortages of actual drugs, but it would also be great if people didn’t jump to conclusions.

What our society expects of women for their bodies and what the entertainment industry expects from actors intersect within actresses. They deserve better.
