Lanny Griffin has been named senior vice president of development and programming for Asylum Entertainment Group, where she will co-execute development and production for the company’s joint venture with Tyler Perry Studios.
In this new role, Griffin will work closely with Antoinetta Stallings, vice president of unscripted at Tyler Perry Studios. Tyler Perry Studios and Asylum Entertainment Group announced a joint venture to create and produce unscripted content in May.
Griffin most recently founded and ran Parker Page Media, where he developed projects including a first-look deal with Snapchat. Her previous career includes stints at VH1 and NBCUniversal, with stints at Universal Alternative Studios and NBC Entertainment. Some of the formats and series she worked on there include “World of Dance,” “Hollywood Game Night,” “Last Comic Standing,” “Running Wild with Bear Grylls,” and “The Biggest Loser.”
Other producing credits include syndicated “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” Hulu’s “Dress My Tour,” Facebook’s “Cardi Tries,” Peacock’s “Hart to Heart” and Disney+’s Be Our Chef. will appear.
