bob briar — who was the dummer of My Chemical Romance from 2004 to 2014 — has passed away, TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ…Bleier was found dead in his Tennessee home on Tuesday after being last seen alive on November 4th. .
All weapons and music equipment in Bleier’s home were left untouched, so foul play is not suspected.
Animal control arrived at the home and removed the two dogs after a badly decomposed body was discovered. The coroner is investigating the cause and manner of Bryer’s death.
Bryar first met the My Chemical Romance crew while on tour with The Used in 2004…and officially replaced them. matt pellissier Shortly after they released the album “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge”.
Bryar played drums on the 2006 album The Black Parade (perhaps the group’s most famous record) and the group’s 2010 entry Danger Days: The True Lives of the Year. I wrote a song for “The Fabulous Killjoys”.
However, before “Danger Days” was released, Bleier announced that he would be leaving the group and performing with other bands for several years before transitioning from the music industry to the real estate industry.
In 2020, he attended a memorial service and wrote: late rush drummer, Neil Peart …talks about his childhood love for drummers and their subsequent friendship.
Years after leaving the group, Bleier has admitted to having multiple suicidal thoughts since leaving MCR, leading to some people online.
My Chemical Romance is scheduled to tour next year, but Bob is not with the group performing again. To date, he is the longest-serving drummer in the band’s history.
Bleier was 44 years old.
