The NFL wide receiver was arrested early this morning on a Los Angeles freeway on suspicion of driving under the influence after being stopped by police for allegedly driving more than 100 mph, law enforcement officials said.

Shortly after 5 a.m., officers saw Robinson’s white Dodge sedan speeding at an alarming rate. During a traffic stop, officers noticed Robinson showing signs of impairment and suspected him to be under the influence of alcohol.
Our law enforcement sources say Robinson refused to take a field sobriety test. He was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and transported to the station for processing. DeMarcus reportedly gave his name to police and told them he was a player for the LA Rams.
The wide receiver was cited for a violation and released to responsible parties.
Robinson has not yet publicly commented on his arrest. We reached out to the Rams for comment but have not heard back so far.
