What does the future hold for The Real Housewives of New Jersey?
After being controversial, according to most critics, miserable Due to recent reasons, there were rumors that the show would be canceled.
Or at least we’ll see a radical reboot along the lines of The Real Housewives of New York City.
Producer Andy Cohen confirmed this week that there are no plans to revive the series, amid episodes in which Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice clash more than ever.
“We’re taking our time. We’re not in a hurry. We’re really comfortable with what we have planned for next year,” Cohen told Deadline on Nov. 21, while referring to other series on the network. told.
“[For instance]New Atlanta, I’ve watched 7 episodes and it’s outstanding. I’m really excited for people to see this and it’s expected to be available early next year. ”
He continued:
“Miami is in the midst of a really great season. One of Orange County’s most popular seasons of all time is coming to an end. I think this series will be in its 16th or 17th year.
“The housewives’ world is in a very good place. We want everything to be successful, so we’re just being extra careful.”
Elsewhere, it was recently confirmed that The Real Housewives of Dubai has been put on hiatus after two seasons.
It doesn’t seem like a third season of this show is a given.
“So, a pause is a pause, a pause is a pause. But look, I love Dubai. I love what we built there,” Cohen also told Deadline.
“We are looking at what we are going to do with Jersey.
“There has been a drought of housewives. [over the] summer, [which] Everyone was complaining, but I think it’s important to deploy it in such a way that there is a steady flow and the right amount [of shows]”
Meanwhile, just a few days ago, Bethenny Frankel slammed the new cast of Real Housewives of New York.
But Cohen doesn’t share the former reality star’s sentiments.
“I truly believe in this group of women,” he said. “I think they’re very ambitious. I think they’re fun to watch. I think the clothes, the window into a different kind of New York, are all what we wanted.”
To be clear on this point, Cohen said that no one from the show’s original cast will be returning.
