What to expect from Arcane Season 2 Act 3
Will Jinx lose his mind?
Since childhood, Jinx’s sanity has always teetered on the edge of the abyss. Afraid of being abandoned or betrayed, all Jinx wanted was a family. After killing her second adoptive father in Silko and having a falling out with her sister Vi (whom she thought dead for years), she found a family in Isha, and they practically became her family. Wonderful sister.
However, in the aftermath of Jace’s actions, all hell breaks out as Anbessa’s forces attempt to take down an enraged Vander (Warwick). During the chaos, Isha stole Jinx’s pistol and hextech crystal and sacrificed herself to stop Vandor by overloading the weapon.
Not only did Jinx lose her father (again), she also lost her adopted sister in Isha. Esha used her gun and hextech crystal, but will Jinx blame herself? Or will he try to burn down Piltover for allying himself with someone like Anbessa?
At the very least, this could lead us to witness the Jinx at its most chaotic. In revenge for Isha’s death, she will likely want to kill anyone and anything that gets in her way. This could be the time when she becomes the face of the revolution, and Isha is eager for her to take the reins.
Is Victor dead?
Victor was apparently killed after being hit by a point-blank blast from Jace’s hextech hammer. But from what little we know from League of Legends lore, this doesn’t seem to be the end for Jace’s former best friend.
Arcane magic is complex, and the bond between Viktor and Arcane offers new evolutionary possibilities for humanity. We believe that the magic will resurrect Victor and reveal his final form, a combination of machine and man.
Collect Vander’s charred body and feed it to Anbessa.
Despite the explosion caused by Isha, it did not destroy Vander’s body. What this means for Vander and Warrick remains to be seen. Singed will have the opportunity to extract what he needs from the body, but will Vander still be alive?
The Act 3 preview also shows Anbessa’s soldiers using Shimmer to enhance their powers. It is unknown how large her army is, but if Caitlin, Jinx, and the rest of the Enforcers lead Zaun into war, she will need every advantage she can get in the coming war.
What happened to Heimerdinger and Ekko?
Jace is back, but we still don’t know what happened to Heimerdinger and Echo. Perhaps the two can get back together, but will Ekko be able to unleash his time-manipulating powers?
We also still don’t know what Jace saw during his disappearance and why he felt he had to destroy Victor. Perhaps he saw a vision of what was to come and was forced to kill his best friend in order to kill the dystopian future.
What happened to Mel?
The Black Roses set Mel in a trap, but it is still unknown whether she escaped from their grasp after awakening the powers that were dormant within her. In any case, she will return to Piltover, desperate to stop her mother from taking over the region, become a voice of reason, and stop the war between the two cities.
Caitlin and Vi?
Vi will be desperate to not see Jinx go insane over Isha’s death, but even her influence won’t be enough to deter Jinx. Jinx may even shift some of the blame to Caitlin, who previously worked with Anbessa.
Caitlin was the acting commander of Martial Law in Piltover, but without Anbessa’s support, will Caitlin be able to lead the Enforcers, or will she be on the run for treason?
