Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominic Cruz Future Hall of Famer says he’s not done with his career yet. TMZ Sports He wants to hang up his gloves one last time and return to the UFC Octagon.
caught He said he and Cruz, 39, are currently at the UFC Performance Institute in Mexico City and are “training up” for the fight.
“I’m telling you, I think we got the last dance,” he said. “I just want to dance one last time. Just go out and have fun. And by fun, I mean fight to the death and see what’s inside of you.”
This will be his first appearance in the Octagon since 2022…he lost by KO in the fourth round. marlon vera.
In an ideal world, the former champion said he would fight this year, but now “the best thing to do is early 2025.”
“That’s what I wanted to accomplish this year,” he said. “But it doesn’t seem like the matchups are being negotiated like this. There are some players that look really good. That whole division is stacked.”
Cruz is 24-4 in his career with wins over big names including: Urijah Faber, TJ Dillashaw, Demetrius Johnson And he’s hoping to add one more win before riding off into the sunset.
