With less than 24 hours until Election Day, the Harris-Waltz campaign has released a new video narrated by Viola Davis.
The 90-second spot, titled “Mother,” begins with the Oscar winner telling the story of Harris’ mother, Shyamala Gopalan Harris. “When you become a mother, something snaps inside you,” Davis says. “You will realize that these children will be your legacy long after you are gone.”
Davis says, showing a photo of Shyamala. “This mother came to America at the age of 19. She was 5 feet tall, but she became a cancer researcher and gave birth to two daughters, Kamala and Maya. And with them, she inherited her legacy. has been created.

Harris made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live with her SNL doppelganger Maya Rudolph on Saturday.
