“Chaos” creator Charlie Covell has spoken out for the first time since the comedy series based on Greek mythology was canceled by Netflix after just one season.
On Thursday, Covell wrote a message to fans of the show on the Instagram page of production company Sister, writing: I made it. I’m so lucky to work with such an incredibly talented cast and crew and I’m so proud of our show. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved. This was a great team effort and it was a pleasure working with you all. ”
In “Chaos,” Jeff Goldblum plays a capricious modern-day Zeus who chains up Prometheus (Stephen Dillane) for interfering with his rule. Prometheus then attempts to overthrow Zeus with the help of three humans: Eurydice (Aurora Perrineau), Ariadne (Leila Farzad), and Caineus (Mysia Butler). Covell, known for his adaptation of “The End of the F***ing World,” wrote the script for all eight episodes.
News of the show’s cancellation broke on Tuesday, with many fans expressing their regret on social media and Reddit. In his message, Covell thanked the program’s supporters for their “love and enthusiasm.”
“I was shown a subreddit that made my heart sing with positivity. The little details and Easter eggs you noticed made my day more than once,” they wrote. There is. “I’m overwhelmed by everyone’s positive response to the show. Thank you!”
