Reacher put his drifter lifestyle on hold and investigated a murder with three of his former teammates. Kara Dixon (coronerSerinda Swan), a forensic accountant who has long had a crush on Reacher. and switchblade-wielding family man David O’Donnell (outer rangeSean Sipos).
Now, series star Alan Ritchson has revealed on Instagram which Lee Child novel the third season of the TV series will be based on, hinting at the role that was secretly supposed to be cast. .

What book is season 3 based on?
Reacher Season 1 was based on killing floor, Lee Child’s 1997 debut novel/first Jack Reacher story, was released all at once on February 4, 2022. The second season builds on this; bad luck and trouble — Book 11 in the Jack Reacher series — streamed from December 15, 2023 to January 19, 2024.
Season 3 will be adapted, series star Alan Ritchson announced on Instagram on January 24th. PersuadeLee Child’s seventh Reacher novel set in Maine.
“Ten years ago, an important investigation went awry and someone was on the run for murder. Now, a chance encounter brings everything back together,” reads the book’s synopsis on Amazon. “Now Reacher sees the final blow. Some might call it revenge. Some might call it salvation. Reacher would call it justice.”
But officially, Prime Video summarizes Season 3 as follows: “Reacher must go undercover to rescue an informant captured by an enemy from his haunted past.”

“It’s going to be great,” showrunner Nick Santora told TVLine ahead of the original’s release. “Throughout the three seasons, this might be my favorite story.”
This storyline returns the series to its “solo” Reacher format, but Season 2 reunites the hulking nomad with his team. As Santora told the Messenger, “We felt there needed to be more Reacher standalone books in the third season.”
Additionally, “we get to enjoy Reacher in a new world,” series lead Alan Ritchson told ComicBook.com. “It may have nothing to do with his family or his past, he’s just living that adventure.”
Season 3 will also be “more brutal than ever,” Ritchson teased in the Instagram photo above.
Who’s coming back for season 3?
One would safely “assume” that Alan Ritchson is returning to the title role, seeing as he appears in the video above announcing the Season 3 renewal while on set in Toronto in December . (it is joke,son. )
Prime Video also announced that Maria Sten will be reprising her role as Frances Negley.
However, similar to Season 2, and in keeping with the maverick that author Lee Child has created, few other characters from past seasons are likely to return. (Of course, there’s always the chance for a special cameo, like in Season 2, Episode 4.)
“The rule is that Reacher doesn’t run with the crew,” showrunner Nick Santora reminds us. Other members of the 110th Special Investigations Unit, who were featured heavily in season 2, “are his family and military colleagues, but he wanders the world alone. We know that we can’t bring along a ragtag team of people to do that. That’s not the book.”
Who are the new actors in season 3?

Additional cast members announced on March 6 include Brian Tee (chicago med) Quinn was an imposing and intimidating lieutenant colonel who was investigating Reacher when he sold military secrets to an enemy nation 10 years earlier. Johnny Berchtold (small beautiful things) Richard Beck is a sensitive and artistic college student who lost his mother at an early age and is the only son of businessman Zachary Beck (Hall). Roberto Montesinos (9-1-1: Lonely stationr) Role of Guillermo Villanueva. He is a DEA agent on the verge of retirement and plays the father of Agent Susan Duffy (Cassidy). and Daniel David Stewart (for all humanity) Stephen Elliott is a talented new DEA agent.
How many episodes will be in season 3?
Season 1 of Prime Video’s hit series spanned eight episodes, all of which were released on February 4, 2022.
The second season, which aired from December 15, 2023 to January 19, 2024, also spanned eight episodes.
Neither Prime Video nor showrunner Nick Santora has revealed the number of episodes for Season 3, but we’re willing to take a chance. exclusively I predict “8”.
When is the release date of season 3?

Reacher season 1 was filmed for three months and released seven months later.
Reacher season 2 was filmed for about five months and released ten months later.
We’ll split the difference, pencil in four months of filming, and once again predict a December premiere date to coincide with season two. But that’s 100% unabashed spitting, guys. So far, Prime Video (like Reacher, who often appears in the novel) has said nothing.
