Titans star Alan Ritchson recently revealed that he auditioned for the role of Nightwing in the DC superhero series before landing the role of Hawk.
In an interview with Men’s Health, the actor opened up about his Titans audition, recalling that he bought himself a Tesla because he was “so confident” that he had won the lead role. “I thought, ‘This is the best audition of my life. There’s no way they’re going to do this show without me,'” he explained. The role of Dick Grayson/Robin/Nightwing ultimately went to Brenton Thwaites, but Ritchson was told that he was too old to play Batman’s former protege.
