Alan Ritchson has the look, age, and vibe to play James Gunn’s DCU Batman. Alan Ritchson had already played a pseudo-Caped Crusader, and in Titans he was Hawk, caring for Dark Robin. Alan Ritchson has a smaller name, which takes pressure off his role in a way that worked well for Gunn and Chris Pratt.
There’s no doubt that James Gunn’s DCU is getting a lot of attention. With Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom officially wrapping up Dceu, fans are as interested as ever to see what casting plans Gunn and his team will implement. David Corenswet is already signed on to play the new Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as the new Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as the new Lex Luthor.
