Olivia Rodrigo celebrated her 21st birthday as her “tentative” last day of underage drinking.
The “Vampire” singer celebrated her milestone age on Tuesday (February 20), and was joined in the party by friends Iris Apatow, Conan Gray, Tate McRae, and rumored new boyfriend Kid LaRoi.
She posted a photo of them together on Instagram and commented, “Blowing out the candles, happy birthday.”
Olivia added, “Today is (hypothetically) the last day minors can drink alcohol!!!”
She and her friends celebrated with a party at her home, where Olivia wore a black dress and blew out the candles on a cake that read “Happy Birthday Olivia.”
Her fans flooded the comments section of her post with well wishes and wished her a happy birthday. Among them was Olivia’s “She Won’t Die Before She Drinks Yippie.” Her song “Brutal”: “I’m so anxious that I think I’ll die before I can drink.”
Another follower said: “It feels like yesterday she sang ‘I’m tired of being 17’ and now she’s 21!!!”
Olivia’s big day comes just weeks after she revealed plans to pop open champagne to toast her 21-year-old.
she told Entertainment Tonight before the celebration. “It’s a great birthday today. We’re going to have a party with our friends and drink champagne, right? It’s the 21st.”
The singer recently told Variety magazine that he wanted to make a “youth” movie, adding, “I love movies and I love telling stories.” I want to do some adult stuff, maybe before I actually become an adult.
“Maybe I’m already an adult. I love telling stories, whether it’s songs or movies. That’s what really excites me.”
