Warning: Contains spoilers for the One Piece manga.
After a successful first season, one piece Season 2 has high expectations, especially regarding the battle scenes. one piece Season 1 was as faithful to the original work as possible for a live-action anime adaptation, and not only the characters but also the worldview were accurately expressed. One thing that could be even better in season 2 is the fight scenes. one piece‘s villains and battles become even more impressive as the story progresses.
best fight in one piece Season 1 combined practical and visual effects in a way that perfectly fits Eiichiro Oda’s manga style. For example, Sanji’s fighting style involves a lot of wire work and movements performed on camera, while most of Luffy’s abilities can only be expressed through VFX. It is important to note one piece Season 2 will not cover the Alabasta arc.He fights Crocodile, the strongest member of Baroque Works, which doesn’t happen until season 3.
8 Buggy & Alvida VS. Luffy
The Villains should have a rematch.
Buggy’s search for Luffy in Loguetown is one of the most hilarious moments in all of his work. one piece. After teaming up with Alvida, who has become a Devil Fruit user, and returning his body to normal, Buggy tracks down Luffy in Loguetown and eventually succeeds in capturing the Straw Hat Pirates. The fact that Luffy doesn’t remember who Buggy is makes their interaction even more hilarious. There’s no big fight between Luffy and Buggy in this part of the story, but the way Luffy is captured may change a bit in the live-action show.
Alvida ate the smooth fruit after Luffy destroyed her ship.
It would be interesting to see a proper rematch between Luffy and the two season 1 villainsEven if it’s played for laughs. Buggy and Alvida’s plan initially works, and they actually come close to executing Luffy in Loguetown. how one piece Season 1 didn’t include Loguetown, but I believe there will be at least one episode dedicated entirely to this arc. If that’s the case, there’s plenty of time for at least one short battle involving Luffy, Buggy, and Alvida. A more comical fight could pose a more serious threat to Smoker.
7 Luffy vs. Smoker
Smoker almost catches Luffy
Captain Smoker is set to be one of the main antagonists of the film. one piece Season 2. Unlike Garp, who really wanted to test Luffy and see if his grandson had what it takes to sail to the Grand Line. Smoker sets out on a mission to capture the Straw Hat Pirates at all costs. Smoker eats the Mokumoku fruit, which gives him the power of smoke and allows him to turn his body into mist at will. Smoker is one of the most powerful enemies Luffy has previously encountered one piece arc.

Although Smoker has some comedic elements, he poses a serious threat to the Straw Hat Pirates, especially when it comes to his relationship with Tashigi. shortly thereafter Luffy escapes execution During a ritual set up by Buggy and Alvida, he and Sanji encounter Smoker. The White Hunter was trying to capture the two Straw Hat Pirates, but was stopped by Dragon, an important character in Luffy’s story. Smoker and Luffy don’t interact much in Loguetown, but there is room for them to interact. one piece Season 2 offers some great fight scenes, even if they are brief.
6 Zoro vs. Baroque works
One of Zorro’s most impressive feats
Roronoa Zoro, who often gets lost, is the first member of the Straw Hat Pirates to notice the threat of Whiskey Peak. Immediately after entering the Grand Line and passing through Reverse Mountain, The Straw Hat Pirates are welcomed by the locals of Whiskey Peak Even though they are pirates, they are very threatening. Luffy and his friends are given food, drinks, and a place to stay, but it’s all a trap. The pirates in question were members of Baroque Works, a criminal organization founded by Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea at the time.
Baroque Works should be the biggest threat one piece In Season 2, the ultimate showdown with Crocodile will only take place in Alabasta during a potential third season. Still, before the Straw Hats defeat the organization’s most powerful members in a battle that was only supposed to happen in season 3, Zorro defeats dozens of them in one of the coolest moments of the entire series. Zorro takes on countless Baroque Works pirates with relative ease at Whiskey Peak, and I can’t wait to see that moment in live action.
5 Luffy vs. Zoro
Misunderstandings lead to hilarious fights
Zoro fighting dozens of Baroque Works members is incredible, but what follows is an even cooler battle that would look great in live action: Zoro vs. Luffy. It doesn’t last long because it happens because of a misunderstanding, but Luffy vs. Zoro is the highlight of the Alabasta arc. And it establishes how powerful the green-haired pirate hunter is despite not being a devil fruit eater like Luffy. power scaling one piece This battle is very important, as the characters can be difficult for those unfamiliar with the original work.
As the show’s main character with cool superpowers, it’s easy to assume that Luffy is much more powerful than his crew. However, the outcome of Luffy vs. Zoro shows that while Zoro is a seemingly normal human being, he has prepared his body enough to be ready to fight an opponent like Luffy. Luffy fighting Zoro in live-action could be very intense despite the comedic nature of the fightwhich begins simply because Luffy thought Zoro hit the host for no reason. In this battle, they end up saving “Miss Wednesday.”
4 Miss All Sunday vs. Straw Hat Pirates
A battle between Robin and the crew could be interesting.
Robin doesn’t fight the Straw Hat Pirates in his first encounter, which would be a welcome change in the Netflix production. one piece Season 2. Save Alabasta for season 3. There may not be enough moments in the manga for Miss All Sunday to shine in season 2. Additionally, since it’s likely only in season 3 that Crocodile meets Luffy, most of season 2’s battles run the risk of feeling small and low-stakes compared to what’s to come. That’s why it would be cool to see Miss All Sunday briefly take on the Straw Hat Pirates.
Nico Robin makes a very first impression one pieceeasily infiltrated the Going Merry and threatened Luffy’s crew. Nico Robin casting one piece Season 2 was treated as big news by Netflix, and was shown live during the Geeked Week event, suggesting that Miss All Sunday will play a bigger role in the live-action adaptation than in the pre-Alabasta comics. Robin fighting against Luffy and his friends will also make the moment when he later joins the crew even more special.
3 Dolly vs. Broggy
Clash of giants
After learning about Baroque Works at Whiskey Peak, the Straw Hat Pirates continue their journey and eventually arrive at Little Garden Island. They soon learned that Little Garden had that name. Because although most things there are of normal size, some of the people living there are not. The crew meets Dory and Broggy, two giants who have been fighting for years. Even though I don’t remember why. The scene where two giants fight over a forgotten item is one of the perfect summaries of what’s strangely fascinating about this world. one piece teeth.
I’m curious to see what Broggy and Dory look like in live action. one piece Season 1 was supposedly very demanding in terms of visual effects, and future seasons are likely to be even more challenging in that regard. A battle between giants will not be easy to realize in live-action, and it may not last long. still, Broggy and Dory’s dynamic is an important part of Little Garden and will continue into the future one piece story.
2 Luffy vs. 3
Luffy destroys one of Baroque’s major works.
Mr. 3’s wax powers would be a lot of fun in live-action. David Dastmalchian’s performance makes it even more fun. one piece villain. some one piece Although fans don’t really like the Little Garden arc, it is a very important part of the Alabasta story and properly establishes Baroque Works as the main threat. Luffy already knew this from Whiskey Peak. It’s only during the Little Garden that we get a proper glimpse of just how dangerous the members of Baroque Works are.
Mr. 3’s Devil Fruit ability is a combination of visual and practical effects, as he can create anything from wax, including clones of himself. nevertheless Luffy is the one who will defeat Mr.3.the battle also involves other Straw Hat Pirates, some of whom are captured by Mr. 3 and almost turned into wax figures. This is a very creative and visually interesting battle that could work well in live-action as well.
1 Luffy vs. Wapol
Luffy liberates Drum Island
Considering both Luffy and Crocodile’s fights could only happen in season 3. Luffy vs. Wapol should be the last big battle. one piece Season 2. While the events of Drum Island don’t have much of a connection to what happens next, it’s still a very emotional arc that introduces Chopper and emphasizes the power of dreams and friendship. Chopper’s tragic upbringing is deeply tied to the history of Drum Island, where the former King Wapol attempted to rule once again.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Wapol had some connection to Netflix’s Baroque production one piecejust like in season 1 when Aaron met Buggy and was in Baratie. Even compared to Crocodile and Mr. 3, Wapol was not a very powerful villain. The battle with Luffy ends relatively quickly, so one piece Season 2 may have something else in store for the rest of the Alabasta Saga to end on a high note.
