“Reacher” has become one of the biggest shows in Prime Video history. The series, based on the novel by Lee Child, tells the story of Jack Reacher, a retired U.S. Army military police major living as a castaway, who encounters trouble when he arrives in Margrave, Georgia.

Alan Ritchson’s Reacher is a physically imposing presence. He’s a much better casting choice than Tom Cruise, who played the character in a previously released movie based on the book. In Season 1, Reacher helps his two local police officers solve mysteries and uncover the machinations of the town’s trusted local officials. Meanwhile, in Season 2, Reacher returns to help ex-Army members who are being murdered one after another.
Now that Season 2 of Reacher is over, you might be feeling a little sad. Here are some Reacher-like shows you can watch while you wait for season 3.
“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”

Nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan offers an action-based thriller similar to the one you probably enjoyed in Reacher. John Krasinski plays the title character, Jack Ryan, who is released from a secure CIA desk job to uncover the mystery behind some suspicious transactions. Each season, he travels to foreign countries to fight terrorism, expose corruption, and face deadly enemies.
Like Reacher, this series is based on a book, adding richness and depth to the adapted script. Tom Clancy’s works have been made into movies before. However, there’s something particularly good about Krasinski’s portrayal of the character. There’s plenty of action to satisfy your need for an intense action thriller. You can also expect plenty of intrigue to help you move quickly from season to season.

“Bosch”

If you like the Reachers theme of substandard heroes solving crimes, you might want to watch the Bosch series. In this police procedural crime drama, Harry Bosch, played by Titus Welliver, is an LAPD detective investigating suspicious deaths. At the same time, he struggles with personal and professional problems, often putting his life and career at risk.
This show has the same gritty, suspenseful tone as “Reacher.” Moreover, it is also based on a series of books. However, this time it is written by Michael Connelly. The show ran for seven seasons, was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, and spawned a sequel, Bosch: Legacy.

“Terminal list”

If you enjoyed the intrigue of Reacher, you won’t want to miss The Terminal List. In the series, James Reese, played by Chris Pratt, returns home after killing a Navy SEAL team in an ambush. New evidence has emerged that all is not as it seems. However, when he realizes that his memory is completely intact, many people, including his loved ones, question what he knows about the events that happened.
His situation worsens when his wife and daughter are murdered. Reese must fight against rising odds to find out what happened to his loved ones and the team. Like Reacher and some of our other picks, this series is also based on books, but they are written by Jack Carr. It’s understandable that Pratt actually trained as a Navy SEAL in preparation for his role, further adding to his believability as the character.

Joe Pickett

Follow game warden Joe Pickett (Michael Dorman) and his family as they navigate the sociopolitical changes in a small rural Wyoming town. He investigates the death of a local poacher, resulting in danger to his loved ones, including his wife Marybeth (Julianna Gill).
There may not be a direct overlap between “Joe Pickett” and “Reacher.” But both shows focus on men trying to find justice amidst a growing conspiracy in a small town. This show is based on a series written by CJ Box. Unlike the intense action of “Reacher,” Joe Pickett’s humor is sprinkled throughout, providing lighthearted relief. Unfortunately, the show was not renewed for a third season, making for a short but enjoyable follow-up compared to other series.

The American version of the Danish series The Killing follows Seattle-based detectives Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos) and Stephen Holder (Joel Kinnaman) as they work together for the final time before Linden departs for Sonoma. focuses on solving crimes. It is not until the second season that the case is resolved, with a new conspiracy with the Seattle Police Department that puts Linden’s life in danger. In the third and fourth seasons, Linden encounters new cases again despite leaving the department. This drama is the perfect follow-up to Reacher if you like crime dramas with a messy, gritty feel.

“SEAL TEAM”

If you’re interested in the military background of Reacher’s main character, you might want to check out the military-based action drama Seal Team. It depicts the lives of elite Navy SEALs who undertake the most dangerous missions for their country. Jason Hayes, played by David Boreanaz, is a squad leader who struggles with how his career is affecting his personal life.
Neil Brown Jr.’s Ray Perry, AJ Buckley’s Sonny Quinn, and Max Thieriot’s Clay Spencer are all part of his team, each with unique characters that add incredible depth to the show. I have personal challenges. It’s no surprise to learn that this work earned him two Primetime Emmy nominations, making it a show you won’t want to miss while waiting for new episodes of Reacher.

‘suit’

Suits is full of unlikely heroes like Reacher. After a drug deal gone bad, college dropout Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) sneaks into a meeting with successful lawyer Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). Impressed by Ross’s intelligence and photographic memory, Specter hires him to help him win in court and solve cases.
Ross quickly realizes that he has a lot to learn about the law, but Spector hopes that the new employee’s background will not be known to others. Their collaborative relationship makes this series worth watching. But Meghan Markle’s paralegal Rachel Zane, Sarah Rafferty’s assistant Donna Paulsen, and Rick Hoffman’s financial law guru Louis Litt all offer fascinating subplots to the show.
